||Amongst many herbal extracts, “sage” species are known for the beneficial effects on memory disorders, depression, and cerebral ischemia.

||Sage contains a variety of volatile oils, flavonoids (including apigenin, diosmetin, and luteolin), and phenolic acids, including the phenolic acid named after rosemary-rosmarinic acid. including cineol, borneol, tannic acid, bitter substances like cornsole and cornsolic acid, fumaric, chlorogenic, caffeic and nicotinic acids, nicotinamide, flavones, flavone glycosides and estrogenic substances. It also contains thymol, camphor, carvacrol, phytol and geranyl acetate.
