Effective Ingredients | Each 100 ml Avipect syrup contains 50 ml thymus vulgaris (thyme) liquid extract (20 mg phenols calculated as thymol). The extract also has flavonoids such as apigenin, naringenin, luteolin, caffeic acid derivatives and triterpenes. |

Pharmacology and Mechanism of Action | Thyme is a bronchial antispasmodic and an expectorant. Spasmolytic and expectorant effects may be respectively due to the flavones fraction and ciliary activity of the terpenes.Antibacterial & antifungal activity is mainly attributed to thymol and carvacrol. |
Contraindications | In hypersensitivity cases to thymus vulgaris , don’t take syrup. |
